THE ROLE & THE TEAM

This role and team ensures Size and Fit to build and maintain a deep connection to our fashion assortment working closely with our commercial buying teams and partners to ensure we have a high quality of foundational size and fit data to represent the assortment.  The team not only owns our B2B product management and partner collaborations but also owns the foundational operations of size and fit such as size chart and runs a fitting lab to generate crucial article datasets.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Drive product strategies forward by bringing in actionable insights based on product and scientific research

  • Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, together with product managers, designers, applied scientists, engineers as well as business and product analysts to create business cases, identify strategic product opportunities and execute against them to create customer and business impact. 

  • Oversee the connection of size and fit experiences to fashion assortment, working closely with our commercial buying teams and partners to ensure we have a high quality of foundational size and fit data to represent the assortment. 

  • Drive and live by an experimentation culture and  set-up, analyze, and promote good practices for multivariate experiments

  • Explore data to find actionable insights and make business, product and customer experience recommendations through different product management methodologies such as but not limited to funnel and cohort analyses, long-term trends, user segmentation, regression models, AB testing and causal studies

  • Synthesize and communicate insights during the product development process

  • Actively contribute to creating a data-informed and execution-focused culture at Zalando

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF YOU HAVE

  • Commercial Acumen to be able to build and execute solid business cases for i) our brand partners in collaboration with internal partner facing teams ii) our wholesale and supply teams to influence assortment decision

  • Product management skills to be able to actively connect both the customer facing and brand partner facing experiences with the assortment, to always put the focus on the problem to be solved and to be able to work with multiple disciplines such as SW engineering, Applied Science, Product Design, Analytics to deliver value to our customers and partners 

  • Analytical thinking and commercial performance management skills to be able to actively monitor the assortment changes and bring forward actionable insights to improve the assortment for both customers and partners

  • Understanding of Applied Science and how to develop products that include Applied Science within a Product Development Processes and support with generating the article datasets to unlock the next set of innovation in the unsolved size and fit problem space (nice to have)

  • Operational Excellence skills to be able to optimise and streamline the operations that need to be managed and improved for article data acquisition mechanisms we have - such as the Fitting Lab and Size Charts - with a focus on data quality

  • Driving innovation without dependency to science
