Hello Agnieszka, thank you for taking the time to talk with us and give us an insight into your work.
I come from Poland and live in Frankfurt. I did not relocate for the position at the Zalando Outlet in Frankfurt. In September 2020, I started at Zalando as a part-time employee in the Premium Store on Leipziger Straße in Frankfurt. Step by step, I moved up into the role of Floor Specialist in the women's department.
That sounds like a successful career progression. What do you like most about your job?
What I like most about my job is that I have a variety of tasks and can learn a lot. Every day is different and exciting in our store. I really enjoy working with my team, because they are truly wonderful people. I appreciate my colleagues very much, and they also value and trust me. I always try to convey a good feeling in my own way.
What does team work mean in your team?
Team work in my team means that we support each other, communicate and share information. When problems arise, we sit down together and talk openly about them. I greatly appreciate openness. One should not forget: when there is mutual respect, the atmosphere at work is very good.
What motivates you daily in your work?
Positive people motivate me a lot. When there is fun and a good atmosphere, you can really bring out the best in yourself and get your work done with better results. In such an environment, I feel inspired and engaged, leading to higher productivity and satisfaction.
You already told us that you changed roles and developed at Zalando. How was this experience?
I indeed changed roles and teams. As mentioned before, I started as a part-time employee in the Premium Store in Frankfurt. Since I am a person who wants to learn many things, I got the chance to develop into a Floor Specialist. At that time, I was still a Floor Specialist in the store on Leipziger Straße in Frankfurt.
After about a year, the new store on Zeil in Frankfurt opened, and I changed both the team and the department to the women's department. First, I worked on the first floor, now on the second floor in the women's section.
What makes you proud when you think about your department?
All my colleagues make me proud.
