Partner Tech is one of the core departments in Zalando. Our goal is to empower and excite our Partners with simple, scalable, frictionless, and intuitive technology solutions making Zalando the preferred e-commerce channel for brands and retailers.
At Tech Operations, we act as a bridge between Partner Tech and various functions within Partner Services and Propositions to enhance the platform experience for both internal stakeholders and external partners by providing advanced technical support, generating valuable insights, offering tech consulting services, and optimising operational processes within Partner Tech.
Within the Tech Operations team, we provide support to maintain active, error-free dataflows. We drive and consult on the development of internal applications used in the P2P processes based on commercial needs. Our team collaborates with key stakeholders on digital integration strategies and supports Product Management with data-driven product and process improvements.
As a Manager Tech Operations, you will drive significant value by delivering solutions to any challenges our users may encounter while using our platform in the commercial business. You will also contribute to solving high-complexity problems by providing input for process and application improvements, working closely with a broad network of stakeholders, including engineering, product, commercial, and operations teams.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
You will be autonomously performing tech issue investigation and consulting on topics in scope of the unit submitted via our reporting system (both 1st and 2nd level)
You will consult on projects and processes with internal stakeholders ensuring business continuity and user satisfaction
Supports product and process improvement projects by taking the responsibility for small to mid-size work packages, performing deep dives to areas autonomously and regularly
You will mentor the team and more junior colleagues, helping them enhance their technical expertise and deepen their understanding of the business.
You will maintain up-to-date documentation of the team- and user-facing knowledge bases

You have previous experience in an advanced software support and technical consulting
You are a self-starter who excels at navigating ambiguity, thinks strategically, and is proactive in finding solutions
You have a track record of driving results in a fast-paced, collaborative and cross-functional environment
You are user-focused and strive to provide excellent support and service - going the extra mile for our users is what we are proud of
You have fundamental experience in project management, product and process improvement
You have some knowledge in Python or Javascript
